• Transcore Bought for $600 Million

    Roper Industries, Inc. has agreed to purchase RFID company Transcore Holdings, Inc. for approximately $600 million.

    Roper Industries, Inc. has agreed to purchase RFID company Transcore Holdings, Inc. for approximately $600 million. Transcore will continue to operate as a standalone unit and continue to market its products under its current brand name, Roper said.

    Transcore’s products are used to automate traffic control, toll systems, and automate business processes for its customers based primarily in North America. It provided the trucking industry with products related to security, asset location and tracking.

    Transcore president & CEO John Worthington and the rest of the firm’s senior management team will continue to lead the business.
