Dana Continues Shuffling Businesses

Dana Corp. announced today it has reorganized a division of its Commercial Vehicle Systems Unit to target the needs of original equipment manufacturers and commercial vehicle fleets. Dana Corp. announced today it has reorganized a division of its Commercial Vehicle Systems Unit to target the needs of original equipment manufacturers and commercial vehicle fleets. The Ride & Control Systems Division will provide components, modules, systems and services to enhance steering, acceleration, brake, and ride control to the on-highway commercial vehicle market. It will be based in Kalamazoo, Mich.

The division is responsible for steer, trailer and auxiliary axles, brakes, wheel ends, tire pressure management products, suspensions, and modular systems. This new organization enables Ride & Controls Systems to capitalize on its expertise in designing, assembling, and servicing these products and systems. Dana Corp. also announced it will sell the assets of its Fluid Systems operation in Dallas to the Maxair division of Standard Motor Products Inc. Terms of the transaction, which is expected to close in the next 10 days, were not released.

The fluid systems operation primarily manufactures evaporator, tube and hose assemblies and fin-tube bundles for the automotive HVAC aftermarket. The facility is part of the Thermal Management Products Division of Dana's Fluid Systems Group.
