Users can now design cost-effective routes with multiple drops in round trip fashion within minutes, the software company said. The faster production of routes allows users to make quicker changes. Factors such as geography, state tariff differences and cost-per-mile are considered and backhauls are now automatically factored into the load optimization process.
“In this time of rising fuel prices and transportation-related expenses, trip optimization is at the top of the list for smart logistics managers,” said Prophesy president Edward J. Forman. “This enhanced feature of our ShipperSeries software will allow users to optimize their round-trips and consequently save money on their bottom line.”
