Greg Gauger has been named global product manager for Caterpillar’s on-highway engine products. He replaces John Campbell, who has been promoted to general manager of engineering for the company’s large power systems division.

Having held several engineering positions at Caterpillar, including engineering manager for its electronics group, Gauger will now have overall responsibility for ensuring that on-highway products meet customer needs, according to Caterpillar.

A 38-year veteran at Cat, Campbell played a key role in the development of the ACERT technology used in the company’s current on-highway engines. In his new position, he will be responsible for core engine product development for all applications, including on-highway, off-highway, marine, and electric power generation.
