Roadway donates $450,000 to relief funds

Less-than-truckload carrier Roadway Express and its employees contributed over $450,000 this week to the American Red Cross Disaster Liberty Relief Fund to aid the victims and rescue workers following the September 11 terrorist attacks. Roadway, based in Akron, OH, said that for the company matched every dollar that an employee donated through a special payroll deduction plan with a corporate contribution.

Roadway Express is the principal subsidiary of Roadway Corp., a holding company for a variety of trucking and logistics operations.
