Peterbilt Motors Co. and Heil are giving a $2,000 list discount on Class 8 Peterbilt trucks spec’d with Heil Environmental Industries Ltd. dump bodies and October 2002 emissions-compliant engines.

This program is an extension of the Peterbilt/Heil integrated truck-body partnership announced by the companies earlier this year.

Peterbilt gm Nick Panza said the the incentive is meant to help ease any customer concerns about the impact engines certified for the new emissions standards may have on their operations.

The OEM is already offering incentives on lightweight components, such as Peterbilt’s FLEX Air suspension or proprietary aluminum wheels, and extended warranty coverage for trucks spec'ed with select Cummins engines and Eaton transmissions.
