Hendrickson Trailer Suspension Systems has unveiled an integral height control (HCV) and automatic dump valve to help maintain outstanding load stability over the road and facilitate loading dock activity. According to the company, the integrated unit is specifically designed to provide optimum performance with Hendrickson air-ride suspensions.
The valve, which is triggered by the trailer parking brake, automatically discharges when the brake is set and fills springs with air when the brake is released. It features a high-flow design for rapid dump and fill times, saving drivers time and effort as they load and unload, Hendrickson reported.
For improved trailer maintenance, the manufacturer noted, the integrated valve eliminates the need for an add-on dump valve, reduces plumbing and presents fewer potential leak points. The new HCV features the same long-life and low air consumption as a standard Hendrickson HCV and comes in kits that include 3/8-in. tube fittings and bolted linkage.
