Missisauga, ON-based Psion PLC announced the formation of a new company Monday, Signa Services, which will provide comprehensive Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) specification, installation and management services on a global basis.

Signa draws on Psion Teklogix's technology and expertise in wireless networking to offer corporate customers and system integration partners tailored hardware-neutral, WLAN solutions. The WLAN market is one of the fastest growing Information Technology markets with worldwide sales expected to exceed $4.5 billion by 2005, Psion says.
