E-Power International, a Houston-based conglomerate, said its subsidiary, GPS Worldwide, will provide public safety and government entities with a 24-hour hotline to explain and handle service questions regarding Global Positioning Systems (GPS) for vehicles.
The hotline will support E-Power’s GPS Worldwide Technology system, which uses an Internet-based interface that allows dispatchers to use a dedicated tracking scenario or an integrated data and map component integrated into existing applications.
Additional features allow tracking and control of the vehicle from wireless enabled PDAs such as the Kyocera Palm Pilot Phone, which operates over the SprintPCS network, said Mark McCollum, CEO of E-Power.
