Con-Way appoints directors Maguire and Young

Ann Arbor, MI-based trucking conglomerate Con-Way Transportation Services has appointed Frank Maguire as director of its Con-Way Air division and Michael Young as director of operations for Con-Way Truckload.

Before joining Con-Way, Maguire held field sales, operations and general management positions with Eagle Global Logistics and NationsWay Transport. Most recently he was responsible for all operations, sales, personnel and profits for the New York metro region of Eagle. He will be based at Con-Way Air’s headquarters in Atlanta and will be responsible for all North America operations.

Young formerly was vp & gm of the team business unit of U.S. Express and responsible for team fleet operations, revenue and profits. He also held numerous operations management positions with FedEx Logistics. Memphis-based Con-Way Truckload is projected to start operations during the first quarter of 2005 and Young will be responsible for all day-to-day operations planning and execution, the company said.
