Utility Trailer Manufacturing will install a Movex enterprise resource planning system from Schaumburg, IL-based IT provider Intentia.

Utility said significant growth within its aftermarket parts operation forced it to replace legacy software on its IBM iSeries computing platform. “We needed to prepare for continued growth and we knew it was a matter of bringing in a new solution that increased our operational efficiency,” said Michael Blum, Utility’s director of business analysis and information technology.

It incorporates order management, customer relationship management, purchasing, and warehouse management applications.

The Movex system will serve a network of 100 plus dealers and two company warehouses.
