Terion Inc. announced today that the company will restructure operations to focus on its core FleetView trailer-tracking business and phase out its mobile cab communications business. In addition, the company’s board of directors has appointed Ken Cranston, who has served as vp of sales and marketing, as president.

“As a result of market conditions in the trucking sector and after an exhaustive review of Terion’s core strengths and goals for the future, we have determined that our resources are better utilized by capitalizing on the success of our FleetView product,” Cranston said.

To support its mobile cab communication customers, Terion is negotiating a reseller agreement with a data communication systems provider to offer alternative in-cab communication systems for their use.

“Looking forward, Terion will focus its efforts exclusively on the FleetView trailer tracking marketplace,” Cranston said. “We intend to leverage off of our technical capabilities and the strong competitive position we have earned to insure that we remain the trailer tracking vendor of choice in the transportation industry sector and a key player in supply chain management.”
