SkyBitz CEO Resigns

Citing family obligations, Andy Wood resigned late last week as CEO of SkyBitz, the mobile asset tracking company. CFO Rick Burtner will serve as interim CEO while the company conducts a search for a new head, according to a spokesperson. Wood was named chief executive at SkyBitz in 2002. Previously he had served as CEO of Shutterfly, an independent online photo finisher, and CEO of EXCEL Logistics.

Wood was named chief executive at SkyBitz in 2002. Previously he had served as CEO of Shutterfly, an independent online photo finisher, and CEO of EXCEL Logistics.

The Dulles, VA-based company has also announced that Roni Taylor has been promoted from sr. VP of marketing and communications to exec. VP of marketing.
