Hand-held diagnostic tool for trailer brakes

Designed to troubleshoot trailer ABS, including new systems using multiplexing power line carrier (PLC) technology, Brake-Link is a handheld diagnostic tool that eliminates the need for a separate PC-based diagnostic system, according to Nexiq Technologies.

Introduced at the annual meeting of the Technology and Maintenance Council, Brake-Link can access the trailer brake system over the J1708 data bus or via the new PLC data bus. It can use tractor power or a separate battery pack for working on unhooked trailers.
