Clean air incentives report for ports and construction
The Associated General Contractors of America and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency released a preliminary report that examines emissions reduction incentives for off-road diesel equipment used in ports and construction work.
The report focuses on grant programs, tax incentives, modified contracting procedures and non-monetary incentives implemented at the state, regional, and local level. The report reviews incentive programs from public agencies, includes interviews from public and private stakeholders, and covers other related material.
A final report is expected in at the end of April 2005 and will supplement the related efforts of a “federal advisory committee” charged with advising EPA on air pollution issues.
