McCombs receives Crittenden award

The Professional Truck Driver Institute, Inc. (PTDI) presented the fifth annual Lee J. Crittenden Memorial Award posthumously to Michael R. McCombs, vp of Safety Services for Great West Casualty Co. The award is given to the person who has done the most to advance the ideals and goals of PTDI, of which Crittenden was a staunch supporter until his death in April 1998, the group said. The award is given to the person who has done the most to advance the ideals and goals of PTDI, of which Crittenden was a staunch supporter until his death in April 1998, the group said.

"Mike McCombs was a very special person who cared about his company and his employees," said PTDI president Ray Haight. "He made everyone feel special and will be missed dearly by those who knew him."
