Baldwin Filters has introduced a line of High Velocity Dual-Flow spin-on filters, including three that will replace the Fleetguard Venturi line on Cummins ISM, ISX and Series 600 engines.

New to this filter design is a high velocity dual-flow nozzle that creates a low-pressure zone to pull more oil through the by-pass element. According to Baldwin, 15% of the oil flows through the bypass section, up from the standard 10%.

And since the filter is designed with only one inlet and one outlet, the oil that flows through both the full-flow and by-pass sections goes directly to the engine, rather than some of it returning to the sump. The filter maker says this results in better protection for engine components.

The full-flow section is made of synthetic microglass media, for increased strength, capacity and efficency.
