The airport-to-airport focus of Chattanooga, TN-based U.S. Xpress comes at an opportune time in terms of growth in airfreight volume. The Air Transport Assn. has reported that air cargo volume grew 14.2% in November of last year compared to the same period in 2001, after rising 20% in both September and October 2002.
