NEW YORK - Last nightFleet Owner was presented the Gold award for best business-to-business publication serving the transportation market in Folio: Magazine’s 2002 “Editorial Excellence” competition.

According to Folio:, the magazine for magazine management, its Editorial Excellence awards are “unique in that entrants are judged by the standards set by their editors and how well they meet their mission statements.”

In the last six years of the competition, Fleet Owner has garnered the Gold award four times and the Silver award twice. This year, Fleet Owner was specifically honored for its January, 2001, issue.

According to editor in chief Jim Mele, the Editorial Excellence award is particularly prized because it is “the one publishing award that honors the magazine as a whole—cover to cover-- rather than only a single article, graphic or column.”
