Seattle-based Airbiquity's GPS Accessory is compatible with most cellular phones on the market today, the company said. The device can be activated to transmit location and other critical data over the voice channel of a wireless phone, using a variety of cellular protocols, it added.

Its GPS capabilities are also available over the Internet via DICE*eLink, which lets users monitor the location of Airbiquity units through a standard browser, Ft. Lauderdale, FL-based Dice said.
