The new rating, with 1,050 lb.-ft. of torque, has been developed in conjunction with Allison Transmission to optimize the engine/drivetrain package and deliver substantial weight savings for increased productivity.

"The combination of the Cummins ISL 350 and the Allison MD3066 automatic transmission delivers weight savings up to 800 lb., which is less than any competitive package for this market," said Cummins director of specialty markets Chuck Goode. "The result is a high-value package for our customers in the 4 x 2 short-haul market."
