Temple, TX-based distribution conglomerate McLane Company, Inc. has hired Thomas Zatina to be president of its food service business unit, effective January 1.
Zatina is a 30-year veteran of the distribution industry, formerly serving as COO for Bozzuto's, Inc., as well as senior vp-operations at Fleming Companies. He most recently headed up his own consulting firm as president and principal founder of Zatina and Associates.
Zatina will replace Mike Youngblood, who is shifting positions to become the new president of McLane Grocery Distribution. He in turn is taking over from Terry McElroy, who is retiring.
