CarrierPoint Inc., a provider of Web-based logistics software for LTL and TC carriers, has announced availability of its transportation logistic packages for both Microsoft Windows 2000 and Windows NT operating systems.

"CarrierPoint saw a growing demand for those platforms in heavy commercial environments,” said Bill Wied, CarrierPoint's senior vp of engineering. “Our product offerings have been designed from their inception to maximize flexibility for our customers.”

John Thomson, CEO of Atlanta-based CarrierPoint, said the move further enables the company to build its collaborative networks and capitalize on Microsoft's interoperability, regardless of platform.

"Porting our applications to Microsoft platforms allows us to piggyback a growing sector of the market,” Thomson said.
