The Truckload Carriers Assn. (TCA) will be hosting an audio conference that tackles driver fatigue and wellness to ultimately prevent “empty seats” on June 1. The conference will feature experts from the American Transportation Research Institute (ATRI) as well as fleet managers discussing how they have successfully integrated a wellness program and its impact on business.

“Healthier drivers who are well rested mean increased highway safety, improved morale, lower driver turnover and reduced material costs, benefiting both the individual and the company,” stated TCA.

    Featured experts include:

    • Gerald Krueger, ATRI instructor for Getting in Gear Driver Wellness and Mastering Alertness and Managing Driver Fatigue courses
    • Wendy Sullivan, Schneider National occupational health manager
    • Joel Whiteman, JB Hunt director of driver health and wellness
    • Suzanne Jarman, Trucks Inc. vp-safety, operations and human resources
