    Diesel prices go up 0.7 cents to $1.959

    The national average price for a gallon of diesel rebounded slightly last week on a 0.7-cent increase to $1.959.

    Every region posted an increase, with the exception of the Midwest, where prices held flat at $1.928. California saw the sharpest upswing in prices, with a 4.5-cent increase to $2.068. The most expensive diesel prices were once again in New England, after taking a 1.2-cent hike to $2.18. Bargain hunters may want to stock up in the Rocky Mountain region when possible, with prices averaging $1.884.
