Delphi Automotive Systems is offering three new products for trucks: a receiver and antenna system for satellite radios; a new line of truck batteries; and an improved onboard computer (OBC) system. The digital audio receiver and antenna system, which is designed for installation by truck manufacturers on the production line, is licensed and approved by both XM Satellite and Sirius Satellite.

The new Freedom Extra battery is made with absorbent glass material to provide up to twice the life of typical flooded lead-acid batteries, according to Delphi. The battery, which is recyclable, is sealed in a “leak free” case and cover.

The OBC system, called a “truck productivity center,” features voice recognition and speech-to-text functions, a GPS receiver for satellite tracking, wireless communication capabilities, and a range of computer functions — all in one easy-to-install package.
