Delphi will produce a new satellite transceiver unit for GE’s VeriWise trailer tracking system

Delphi will produce a new satellite transceiver unit for GE’s VeriWise trailer tracking system. The new transceiver improves upon previous models with a more-rugged exterior, a Delphi spokesperson said.

“Our customers operate in very challenging conditions for electronics,” said Thomas Konditi, gm for GE Equipment Services—Asset Intelligence unit. “We anticipate the automotive-grade quality and robustness of these new Delphi transceivers will satisfy our requirement and support dependable, high-volume data transmissions.”

Yesterday the GE technology team demonstrated VeriWise to the public at Delphi Electronics & Safety’s headquarters. The VeriWise demonstration featured an interactive 63-ft trailer to show how the system works and how it addresses security issues the trucking industry faces.
