Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. customers are now able to track trucks via the web using the company’s Fleet InSite truck tracking system

Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. customers are now able to track trucks via the web using the company’s Fleet InSite truck tracking system. Fleet InSite utilizes Global Positioning System (GPS) and cellular technology.

The system enables fleet managers to “ping” a vehicle and access its location history including the date, time, speed, longitude/latitude, travel direction and address for each time it is pinged.

“The technology allows customers to be only a point and click away from information such as how close a driver is to delivering product or where a vehicle is stopped,” said Jim Feenstra, senior vp of marketing.

Fleet InSite is immediately available to Penske’s full-service lease customers throughout North America, with availability for contract maintenance customers coming “shortly.” The pricing starts at $10 permonth, including hardware and installation, and charges may be included as part of the vehicle lease.
