Kenworth is now offering an Extended Day Cab Conversion Kit for T600, T800 and W900 models with AeroCab sleepers.

The sleeper is unbolted from the cab and a newly produced one-piece back wall assembly is moved into position. The extended day cab conversion can be completed locally at Kenworth dealerships and requires no major modifications to the cab structure, according to Gary Moore, assistant general manager for sales and marketing. "The kit also is designed to match the current AeroCab interior and integrates well to existing interiors," he said.

The conversion kit extends the cab six inches and adds five inches of headroom. It also frees up added room behind the wheel for increased driver comfort and enables the seat to recline up to 21 degrees. The driver gains over two cubic feet of storage for personal gear in a rear wall storage unit.
