@Track, Numerex form partnership
Wireless communications provider @Track Communications of Richardson, TX, has formed a partnership with Cellemetry LLC, a subsidiary of Numerex Corp., to offer trucking companies the ability to track their trailers into Mexico and Canada, even if those trailers are handed off to other carriers at the U.S. border.
The partnership uses @Track’s GPS-based TrackWare system to determine trailer locations, and reports this location information along with unloaded/loaded status and trailer connect/disconnect status, in real time. TrackWare will be linked to Cellemetry’s network coverage, enabling fleets to track trailers throughout North America.
