Hino Diesel Trucks (USA) has named Mitsuo Kikuchi as its new president. Kikuchi replaces Eddie Ishizu, who is retiring after a 36-year career in the Hino organization. Hino Diesel Trucks (USA) has named Mitsuo Kikuchi as its new president. Kikuchi replaces Eddie Ishizu, who is retiring after a 36-year career in the Hino organization.

Prior to joining Hino Diesel Trucks (USA), Kikuchi was senior executive officer of overseas operations for Japan’s Hino Motors Ltd. He has been with Hino since 1964 and has managed much of Hino's overseas expansion. According to the company, he is the highest-ranking Hino official to ever manage the U.S. operation.

Kikuchi said his appointment shows the commitment of the parent company to the U.S. market. “Hino Motors is committed to the U.S. market. It is a top priority for our company,” Kikuchi said. “We plan to become a solid player in the market.”

Hino Diesel Trucks (USA) is a leading supplier of Class 4-7 cabover trucks in the United States. Hino was the first Japanese truck and bus manufacturer to enter the U.S. market and has been active in North America for 17 years.
