The U.S. average retail price for diesel fuel rose yesterday for the first time in nine weeks, increasing $0.012 to $1.391 gal, the U.S. Department of Energy said. The last price gain was the week of Jan. 29, when the price went up $0.011.
The price rose in most U.S. regions except the Rocky Mountain area, where it essentially has stayed the same. The highest price was in California, where the average price was $1.605 – up $0.02 from the previous week.
