International Truck and Engine Corp. has extended a supply agreement with ArvinMeritor Inc.'s Commercial Vehicle Systems (CVS) business group to continue to supply the truckmaker front axles, rear axles, air brakes and automatic slack adjusters.
The seven-year supply agreement is valued at $1.2 billion, ArvinMeritor said.
The parts are standard databook position for the International 5000i- and 9000i-series tractors.
According to ArvinMeritor, the arrangement is designed to provide International's facility in Escobedo, Mexico, with modular assemblies of front and rear axles, brakes, hubs and drums, suspensions, wheel-speed sensors, and shock absorbers.
