The national average price at the pump for a gallon of diesel fuel stayed the same this week, according to the Dept. of Energy.

The department's Energy Information Administration said the average price remained $1.405, though it rose in five of the nine regions.

The average price rose in the East Coast, New England, Central Atlantic, Lower Atlantic and Midwest regions, but dipped in the California, West Coast, Rocky Mountain and Gulf Coast regions.
