After going public with its intent to expand via the acquisition of trucking companies, third-party logistics provider OrderPro Logistics has announced its latest purchase.

Tucson, AZ-based OrderPro will acquire McCook, IL-based TransMex/USA, a 10-year old truckload carrier that also specializes in providing customs assistance, daily reporting and bilingual communications to clients on both sides of the border. TransMex/USA also has trucking authority to operate in Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, Michigan and Ohio.

OrderPro said TransMex/USA has annual revenues of about $2 million and gives the 3PL entry into the strategic NAFTA segment handling shipments originating in Mexico. OrderPro added that tapping into the estimated $201 billion surface trade between the U.S. and Mexico is a key part of its growth strategy.
