VDOT delays I-95 detour

The Virginia Dept. of Transportation (VDOT) has postponed the scheduled I-95 South detour just north of Fredericksburg until Tuesday, March 8 at 10 pm. The detour is expected to cause delays of at least 45 minutes for motorists.

One lane on southbound I-95 will be closed on Wednesday March 9, weather permitting, to remove an old Route 627 Bridge over the Interstate.
