Kenworth Truck Co. is offering several new warranty and component options for its line of heavy- and medium-duty trucks.

Kenworth's new lightweight AG400 Series air ride suspension, offered at axle ratings of 40,000- and 46,000-lb., is also a new optional feature for the company's heavy-duty truck line. The AG400 suspension series is available in 52-inch, 54-inch and 60-inch axle spacings across Kenworth's Class 8 product lineup.

Kenworth said it is expanding its Extended Service Interval (ESI) option package to the Kenworth T600, T800 and W900 models for on-highway applications. Previously, the three-year, 350,000-mile ESI package has been available only as an option for the company's T2000 Class 8 model.

Jost International's fifth wheel was also introduced as an option on Kenworth trucks and a low voltage disconnect (LVD) system is now standard equipment on Kenworth Class 8 sleepers 72 inches and longer.

The LVD, which is sold by Delco Remy and manufactured by Sure Power, is an electronic protection module that continually monitors battery voltage. When battery voltage reaches a critical shut off point, the LVD disconnects selected electrical loads from the batteries to ensure enough juice remains in the batteries to successfully start the engine.

Kenworth also introduced three new radios as options on all its heavy duty and medium duty models that include Sirius and XM Satellite ready capability on the cassette and CD versions.

The new models include an AM/FM radio, AM/FM radio with cassette option and an AM/FM radio with CD option. All include a digital clock, an alarm clock, LED backlighting for extended display life and a 7-channel National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration weatherband.
