Bandag rolls out spread-axle trailer tread

Bandag Inc. has announced it will offer BTL-SA (Bandag Trailer Linehaul—Spread Axle) tread in the North American market. The retread is engineered for spread axle and multi-trailer applications.

According to Bandag, its tread design offers tough shoulders that twist, scrape and scrub as lateral stress is created when trailers corner. This design is well-suited for tires on the forward axle for fleets using more spread axle trailers.

BTL-SA offers a 16/32-in. tread depth and is now available in 210, 220 and 230 mm sizes.
