Arkansas Best Corp. subsidiary FleetNet America LLC said it has begun the development of a national towing and recovery certification program that it hopes to launch later this year.

"When completed, this program will provide customers with nationwide access to certified towing and recovery providers," said FleetNet president Oren Summer.

FleetNet is a third-party vehicle maintenance company that coordinates scheduled and nonscheduled service to truck fleets, owner-operators, OEMs and after-market equipment providers.
