Kenworth Truck Co. announced it has installed Watson & Chalin lift axles on 27 new Kenworth T800 dump trucks for Heritage Trucking. The new factory option helps the trucking company reduce weight and boost payload, the OEM said.
This factory option for Watson & Chalin Tru-Track Super Lite steerable lift axles is available on Kenworth T800 and W900 models. The lift axles are offered in single, double or triple configurations equipped with lightweight brakes, specialized hubs, 17.5-in. tires and aluminum wheels, Kenworth said.
“We spec’d a set-back axle on the T800, which provides a better turning radius for our off-road work,” said Heritage Trucking owner Pete Tode.
