ArvinMeritor Inks Class 8 Axle Deal
ArvinMeritor, Inc. has signed a memorandum of understanding with Axle Alliance Co. (AAC), a subsidiary of Daimler Chrysler. Under the proposed agreement, ArvinMeritor would be the turnkey supplier of heavy-duty tandem rear drive axles to AAC.
The axles would ultimately be in Freightliner’s North American Class 8 assembly operations.
