GeoLogic Solutions today announced the availability of software upgrades for its MobileMax solution via Cingular’s wireless GPRS network

GeoLogic Solutions today announced the availability of software upgrades for its MobileMax solution via Cingular’s wireless GPRS network. This feature will simplify logistical and staffing issues normally associated when performing upgrades, GeoLogic said.

“Prior to utilizing the new over-the-air download capability from GeoLogic it took a great deal of coordination to bring a truck into a location to download an update into each MobileMax system,” said Dave Robinson, vp of MIS at Southeastern Freight Lines, a GeoLogic customer. “There were also occasions when we had to fly people to company locations to perform upgrades on a weekend. The time, logistics and money we are saving with the ability to perform our upgrades wireless is quite substantial.”
