Western Star Trucks has unveiled the 82-inch Stratosphere Star Light Sleeper, which offers full stand-up room and a flat floor throughout the cab and sleeper. It is available on all Western Star 4900 models, including the EX, FA and SA.
Stratosphere Star Light Sleeper
According to John Merrifield, senior vp, sales & marketing, the Stratosphere provides a significant amount of additional headroom in the area between the driver's and passenger's seat. This allows the driver or passenger to stand up and walk through to the sleeper compartment without crouching or bending over.
Since the floor is flat between the cab and the sleeper, the driver or passenger does not have to worry about steps or ledges as is the case with other sleepers on the market today, Merrifield said.
The Stratosphere sleeper is available in three trim levels - Phoenix, Mesa and Dakota - with numerous cabinet, storage, window and lighting options. Four different bunk configurations are available, including the optional dinette sleeper seating package which provides two seats and a table, turning the sleeper compartment into a comfortable area for eating, reading or doing paperwork.
