Former DHS secretary joins Savi’s board
    April 11, 2005

Tom Ridge, former Secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), has joined the board of Sunnyvale, CA-based Savi Technology, a provider of radio frequency identification (RFID) technology for supply chain management.

“We believe his geopolitical perspective and his commitment to fostering joint government and commercial initiatives will be beneficial to Savi,” said Vic Verma, the company’s president and CEO. Ridge’s experience should also help Savi “continue to develop solutions to improve efficiency and security throughout the global supply chain,” Verma added.

“RFID technology in both the government and commercial sectors [offers] a real opportunity to improve the management and security of global supply chains using this technology,” said Ridge.
