Paccar Leasing Co. (PacLease) has announced the immediate availability of PacTrac, a telematics system that collects real-time vehicle information via a PacTrac onboard computer and GPS data and delivers it through a network of over 100 wireless carriers and the Internet.

PeopleNet developed the system, noted PacLease.

Benefits include:

  • real-time GPS vehicle position reports
  • driver and vehicle efficiency reports
  • electronic data collection of hours-of-service logs, and automatically populating tax, payroll and compliance reports
  • data and voice communications
  • automated arrival and departure reporting based on geographic boundaries
