Onboard routing for field techs
Field technicians with laptops, including touchscreen models, can get on-demand routing with turn-by-turn directions with XMap Express from DeLorme (www.delorme.com). The licensed application can be used as a stand-alone program or integrated into mobile work force automation software, according to the company.
XMap Express features a simple interface that can calculate directions when supplied with place names, street addresses, zip codes, street intersections or latitude/longitude coordinates.
