Terion has announced that the Naval Ordnance Safety and Security Activity has certified Terion’s FleetView 2 and FleetView 3 systems for use in van-type trailers carrying HERO (Hazards of Electromagnetic Radiation to Ordnance) cargo. This certification qualified FleetView for use in trailers used to transport munitions along U.S. roadways, said the company.

“Our customers are focused on improving utilization and tracking and securing trailers that carry various types of cargo,” said Ken Cranston, Terion president & CEO. “The HERO certification is another enhancement to our diverse offering.”

FleetView 3 combines a high-bandwidth wireless path with messaging and sensor capabilities. It provides real-time location and event status over the Internet.
