Ryder System Inc. has released an upgraded version of RyderTrac, a Web-based tool that provides timely shipment tracking information. The new version features improvements to more specific details regarding loads and stops on carrier routes.

RyderTrac now offers real-time access to order and shipment tracking information featuring purchase order numbers, supplier’s purchase order acknowledgement, carrier’s shipment status, bills of lading, detailed routes, stops and proof of delivery. Carriers can update the details via Ryder’s online tool.

Also improved is the matching ability for carriers-to-loads with expanded criteria such as stop lists and pickup dates.

"The enhanced version carefully monitors carrier's pickup and delivery performance to ensure quality of service and productivity, as well as to keep our customers' goods moving efficiently through the supply chain," said Chuck Lounsbury, senior vp of sales & marketing for Ryder's U.S. Supply Chain and Dedicated Contract Carriage Solutions.
