Under terms of the five-year agreement, Freightliner Trucks is providing heavy-duty truck-tractors and other vehicles for Petty Enterprises' three Winston Cup teams: the #43 John Andretti Cheerios - Betty Crocker Dodge Intrepid R/T team, the #45 Kyle Petty Sprint Racing Dodge team and the #44 Buckshot Jones Georgia-Pacific Dodge team.

Vehicles to be furnished include the heavy-duty Freightliner Classic XL and the medium-duty Business Class and Business Class SportChassis. The trucks already are in service and are hauling trailers containing the racers' cars, spare parts, tools and other equipment.

Freightliner also is furnishing Century Class S/T trucks to the Richard Petty Driving Experience, a stock car driving school with 22 facilities across the U.S. The heavy-duty trucks combine features that enhance performance, safety and efficiency, the company said.

“We are very proud to have Freightliner on board as a sponsor of Petty Enterprises,” said Kyle Petty, CEO of Petty Enterprises. “Freightliner Trucks shares our commitment to safety, advanced vehicle technology and winning.”
