If you are a truck driver with over-the-road or urban pick up and delivery experience, or are a dispatcher or forklift operator, Uncle Sam wants you to join the USA Freedom Corps.

President George W. Bush announced the homeland security initiative last night during the State of the Union address. The Freedom Corps will focus on three areas of need: responding in case of crisis at home, rebuilding our communities and extending American compassion throughout the world. USA Freedom Corps will expand and improve the efforts of AmeriCorps and Senior Corps to recruit more than 200,000 new volunteers, President Bush said. "One purpose of the USA Freedom Corps will be homeland security," the President said. "We need retired doctors and nurses who can be mobilized in major emergencies and transportation and utility workers well trained in spotting danger."
